2d.) Echo

"Gah! Whats with this stupid thing!" Alex yelled at the top of his lungs. Everyone outside the tournament building looked up at him in mock hilarity. They all knew him, he was what you call, a 'minor' celebrity and had been in the paper plenty of times. He was the fourteen year old giant, 6 feet tall at a very young age. Chinese, and very large limbs and feet.

He knew people laughed at him. But he couldn't really blame them, he was an oddity in this world. So he was both liked and resented at times for it. But really it depressed him. Alex Yu once more tapped his watch hard. It was glowing for some reason, and an arrow was there pointing to god knows where.

Alex's arrow came into focus when his hand was not obscuring it. It pointed south, to a fenced off construction area that hadn't been progressed on in a few months. More specifically, the fog the arrow was referring to was inside of a building, on the ground floor, visible only for the fact that a window was blown out. Various boxes containing random storings made the front door immovable, as it opened inward.

"Huh? What's this? Ah great, did someone hack me or something?!?! " Alex looked to where the arrow was pointing, and followed. After he reached the construction site, he attmepted to pushe the door open. Now Alex, was really big and powerful, and with bone breaking ower, and struggled against th door. But still had no success.

Noticing the broken window, Alex went to it and attempted to crawl through. " Crap! I'm too big!" He yelled to himself, sticking as much of his body in as he could, he looked into the fog through the window. "What is that?"

Before Alex, the fog simply remained, as part of the wall below the window simply gave out, due to the rather poor, yet not horrid, structural integrity of the building.

"AAHHH! Crap! That hurt!" Alex got up from his undignified crash and wiped himself off. Spreading dust and other materials throughthe fog. With a strange look, he walked farther into it, not expecting what was going to happen within. ~ Man, this feels ike I'm in a horror movie or something, what the hell is with that fog! Seriously! ~

The inside of the fog contained no fog, only the odd light, casting odd-shaped shadows from the various boxes.

Sitting on a lone crate was Alex's DaCre... probably from the entrance-style that Alex took, it may have been hiding in the area.

" Hello Alex, ugh, please clean yourself up, I can't be seen with you like this!" Echo said in her womanly sing song voice. Alex's jaw dropped and he extended a giant finger twards the DaCre and said " ..... Echo?!?! What are you- what- ho- Are you really out of my DaCre device! Are you really here, am dreaming! "

The Bat humanoid chuckled and stood, even at an imposing 5 foot 5, she was still tinier then Alex. But he knew how tall she got in C form, and did not want to anger here. " But... How are you here righ now.... Echo?"

A small bolt of yellow energy hit the box below the bat-DaCre, leaving a definitive hole in the area of which it struck.

Behind where Alex was, yet in full view of the bat, stood a second DaCre. It was rather simple-looking, about four-feet tall, in the shape of a falconess, blue armour covering the torso and legs.

"Finally... I haven't seen a fight since the other world..." the DaCre taunted, in a voice only slightly different than the bats. A fitting opponent- ruler of the night, ruler of the day, bat and bird...

" E- Ech- EECHO! Screech at it, use your innate!" Alex ran behind Echo, who produced a defeaning scream, actaul waves of high velocity sound could be seen tearing up the air. At th falconess, it would disorient and even make the thing vomit and feel incredibly ill. It's senses would be so scrambled, it wouldn't know where it was or where things were around it.

The falconess smirked, simply holding its staff in front of her, using all of her effort to stay on her feet. Even as blood began trickling out of her ear, she still managed to keep a cool face.

The staff was made of metal, a long, rather thin piece of it. Metal was a great conductor and distorter of sound. At this range, the staff was vibrating wildly in her hand, creating a myriad of noises and frequencies bouncing around the entire room, which would send everyone in the vicinity, including the attacker, into disarray.

"If you really care about your partner, I wouldn't be so reckless with your power," the falconess said, after the attack, balancing on her staff. "I've had practice in battle... but I doubt he's ever been in a fight of our class... how careless are you?" the bird asked the bat.

It was true: given how the attack was fired and repelled, it was likely that the tamer could be in a great deal of disarray.

Alex pointed at the Falconess, " Shut it up with a gust!" Alex yelled with almost hysteric fear in his voice. The sounds bouncing around the room had almost hit them, but the angle they were reflected had them bounce around the center of the room. Where Alex and Echo were located.

Even though the creature had a cool face and was acting cool, a direct hit like that would be messing with it's senses, small noises would be defeaning, the sensory input overload would make her eyesight blurry, her smell quite off. And that was to be expected, any thing hit by high frequencies, even Echo (in her current stage) could not be able to withstand that much distortion of the senses.

As Alex made his way behind Echo, but close enough to avoid the sound waves, but far enough to not get caught up with the attack. He peered over her shoulder. Echo smiled and sang in her godly voice. " So you wish it, so shall it be!" She flapped her wings foward with great force, causing a gust to rush at the creature and all around it.

The vanguards of the armoured valkyrie were what vibrated; taking note of that, it had removed one of these from its wrist, causing the vibration to be more free, as it braced itself by crouching on one knee. This caused sound to cascade and bounce around the entire room (which I did define before- no blind spot), as the falconess had given the same taunt as before, NOW drawing a staff that it had sheathed earlier, after firing the first bolt.

This attack, which affected the entire room, would affect both the bat and the tamer. "Pity..."

It raised its staff against the gust, a small, golden barrier forming around itself. Its innate seemed to be an odd form of energy control; the shield held for a moment, before fragmenting, taking a decent amount of force from the gust.

It then aimed its staff again, at the bat's mid-section, firing a single golden bolt...

" AWWW my head!" Said Alex, as he slowly got up from the floor. "What happened, did I get drunk last night, no that's impossible, I'm still a minor." Alex looked around to see he was ouside of the building the battle took place in, and remembered everything. Knocked out in front of him was Echo.

"Echo! Wake up, Echo! Is this all real?" The womanly shaped bat slowly stood up to her full height of 5 feet and sang wearily, but still in her beautiful voice. "I'm fine child, are you okay, and where is our enemy?"

The falconess had moved further back into the building, on top of the roof, after her successive attacks had disabled the team.

"No point in killing them, I suppose," she mused, looking down at the pair. "After all, I'd lose the chance to strengthen myself against them again... I think I can keep my next form up for a while, now..."

Chuckling, the bird-creature moved quickly away, so that the bat would not sense her again.
