3c.) Dragon

~To have come this far against a noble dragon...~ a voice would Echo in Erick's mind. This would be a sole thought, not followed by anything else, except a small, red glow from his device: if he were to examine the back of it, he would notice that, somehow, an insignia had been burned into it, a red marking depicting a dragon breathing flame, done in simple 2-d 'pinstripe' art.

It seemed to have an unusual aura about it... other than that, the device seemed to function normally.

As the glow was concealed within opaque objects, and he was already thinking along those lines, Erick mistakenly thought it was his own mind that conjured up that line of thought brought by the Echoing voice.

Salem grumbled to himself as he and Lallium walked around the shelter,

"And I was going to have a dragon minion... stupid gun-nut..."

Lallium chuckled. "Look on the bright side; if you're right he'll be the first to go."

Salem sighed. "Yeah... Still would've liked a fire-breathing lizard though. Imagine how quickly you could bake a pizza with that thing..."

Lallium thought about it. "Or a TV dinner. Oooh, or Instant noodles."

"Instant noodles? Seriously? You mean you really can't wait ONE MINUTE for it to cook on it's own?'

"But if we..."

"INSTANT Lallium. It's in the title! You can't mess with instant! You'd wind up with... with super-instant! You'd break the very fabric of time and space!"

Lallium looked legitimately concerned. "WHAT?"

"We'd all get sucked into a noodle-flavored wormhole of death and DIE! DIE!"

"WAAAAGH! We have to kill that dragon before he can find any noodles!" Lallium looked around. "Hey... WE DID IT!"

Salem nodded. "Well Lallium we've saved the Earth." Salem grinned widely. Now let's go destroy it."

"Oooh, nice use of a Zim quote."

"Thanks. I've been saving it."

The two stood there for a moment. Then Salem pointed at Lallium's foor.

"Oh... and you never put out the fire."

"STOP DROP AND ROLL!"

Salem leaned back on his hands, tossing aside a small burning stick which he may or may not have just poked Lallium's foot with. "Ah.... this just never gets old."

As Lallium rolled to put out the fire, his side would catch a metal clapse, which opened a trap door to the earthen cavern below, leading to a staircase that led to the rabbit hole.
