3d.) Darkness of Rage Empty
PostSubject: 3d.) Darkness of Rage   3d.) Darkness of Rage I_icon_minitimeFri Dec 31, 2010 8:26 am

Iko had left the comphy hideout as soon as he was sure that everyone was asleep. He left without a noise, and moved quickly away from the whole group.

The odd darkness that he used before... the feeling of sheer rage within himself... the urge to destroy... why were these feelings pent up inside himself? Why did he feel that he was losing control before?

Why, in all the world, did it feel... good? Was Iko so mentally weak, that the prospect of using that kind of power excited him?

These were the thoughts going through Iko's mind, but there was one thing he was certain of: he was a danger if he stayed too close. That was one of the few sane thoughts in his mind.

It was through this doubtful travel, that he found his way to the area that Triumph and Catastrophe were actively destroying, by chance, without a tamer...

Triumph and Catastrophe continued their single minded task. They were out to destroy the world and recreate it in a painstakingly thorough fashion.

The mere appearance of a DaCre was not nearly enough to bother Triumph or Catastrophe.

Now, when they were attacked, it was generally because they were ripping through something valuable, like someone's home.

The earth behind them was barren, and the earth in front of them dissolved.

Iko watched the pair from a distance for some time, in silent awe of their simple-minded work, which seemed to fulfill their being... to destroy, then to create a world of their liking... an odd lifestyle, to be sure, but, something about this creature attracted Iko... for the first time sinced Yitur, Iko's power brimmed with the red darkness...

It willed him to step forward, stopping about five feet beyond Catastrophe's range. From there, he knelt to the two A-ranks, and spoke: "Please, Lords of this land... allow me to assist you in your work..."

"What is it you can assist us with...." Catastrophe's voice hissed in it's pseudo-monotone. It wasn't monotone because it was literally a monotone, but because the variations in tone were exactly the same thing every time. Odd for one who destroys the world with disorder.

Triumph ceased his relentless march, his strange lights that served for eyes roving back and forth till they came to focus on Iko.

Iko hesitated, thinking before responding to this creature. "You... wish to destroy and remake this world... I've seen it, your ability to destroy matter, life, and hope... but... there is something you lack that I can offer..."

As Iko said this, the light around him, and only around him, began to dim: focusing, red data scrap began to appear in this sphere. "You lack... the ability to destroy light itself, like I do... the light that rekindles hope in all... if you let me join you, I will destroy the light itself for you, so that even that may be in your jurisdiction..."

"Pathetic."

Derkholm walked with his leisurely pace towards Iko and the Lords, a bit of sand whirling around his feet before settling.

"Simply pathetic. Tempation calls and you run out the door, like a stupid dog. Is your will so weak that you couldn't even last a night? You'd really just let yourself be played with like a doll in anger's grip, and run off to this empty puppet of all things to satiate your addiction? You should be ashamed of yourself."

"This would not be our normal modus opperandi...." The blade Catastrophe spoke, a slight variation of his normal tone.

Triumph's eyes focused on Iko. "We take pleasure in the destruction or creation itself; we do not believe that the world must be destroyed and recreated. We enjoy the destruction and creation of each individual molecule of data."

"I would not derive pleasure from having you destroy something...." Catastrophe's voice heightened in volume.

"Perhaps he who gave us this symbol, Yggdrasil, would be more interested in your offer." Triumph's mind seemed to wander slightly as he said this, not bothering too point at the dragon symbol in question.

Obviously, they had payed no heed to Derkholm.

Iko looked up at the symbol, unfamiliar with the name of Yggdrasil... however, there was something else that he did realise...

"That symbol..." Iko whispered to himself, keeping his head down after he thought through what this meant, in his own mind. "The dragon you refer to... is not Yggdrasil's own symbol..." Iko started, wondering exactly what this statement would bring about. "It is the mark of the dragon of darkness... Tridara... I know this, for I am familiar with dragon's blood..."

He looked up at the two Lords once more. "One who would treat the nobility of a dragon like a bartering chip, is not someone I would support... nay, I would rather grind this Yggdrasil to dust..."

"You would rather throw your lot in with those who destroy and recreate the world just to enjoy the dismantling and reassembling of molecules? Perhaps I would enjoy this one...." Catastrophe made his longest speech yet since he had met Yggdrasil.

"As long as you hinder not our path, we shall not seek to destroy and recreate you prematurely." Triumph, on the other hand, made one of his shorter dialogues.

"Hmph." Derkholm seemed to take littel offense at being ignored; with a group like the minions he had come to expect it over the years. "As flawed as his logic is it's understandable Catastrophe. Iko is simply full of blind rage... a pathetic self-indulgent existence like you and your puppet's can be appealing when one wants to let their emotions run amok. Regardless I still find myself dissapointed that he would give in so easily... even if he stopped short of selling his soul."

Derkholm, even while speaking, played a similar albeit lessened game of looking only at the sword and ignoring Triumph's very existence; he considered him nothing but a puppet afterall.

~It's not that...~ Iko thought to himself, watching energy spark from his hand again, the red 'electricity' occasionally crackling in his aura. ~I can't control it at all... if I stayed on their side, I would have eventually lost control... when that happens, I want to be sure that they know its not me they're fighting...~

Iko thought this without a flick or change in expression, as he looked over at the DaCre behind him, his claws visciously brandished... he restrained himself, remembering what Catastrophe said, but he felt a grin forming at the edge of his lip, as the power of this darkness coarsed in his body...

"I can still sense it... Fine then." Derkholm held his hand in front of him, sand falling from his fingers.

"Let it out on me. Surely a frail form like mine makes ample target for your bloodlust?"

Derkholm closed his visible eys and the sand pulsed around him.

"Come then Iko... Show me this power and prove that's it's worth such frantic deeds."

~When two creatures cross fists or spells... it is almost as if transmitting the intent of the mind...~ Iko thought to himself. Turning around, he held out an open palm, and grasped his fist tight: from the ground below the other DaCre, two dark, snakelike tendrils shot up from the ground, through the weaker-controlled sand. Both would twist and controt around his body in a powerful bind, starting at the feet and ending at the neck...

Derkholm simply let the darkness ensnare him, and looked passively at Iko.

"Is that all? You were afraid you might harm someone with simple binding? I think you vastly underestimate everyone involved in this issue Iko. And I don't just mean the three of us here. If you can't do more than give the muscles a bit of stiffness I don't see how your allies could come to any harm."

Derkholm simply stood there, making no movement to counterattack... Iko simply hadn't done anything worth it yet.

"You don't get it..." Iko said, his red darkness already spreading to the other DaCre's neck, which was now actively choking him, putting severe pressure on the neck. Now that the tendrils were in place, Iko focused on bulking the tendrils, and adding lascerations that would dig into place... the longer Iko had to prepare, the tighter AND stronger the bind would be.

It was still moving slightly, so the created spikes would be creating trails of blood throughout the paths of the tendril, as well as dig in while tightening...

The gripped Derkholm was then simply crushed udner the pressure of the slicing tendrils, and crumpled into sand which poured to the ground.

Except for the fact that Derkholm was also standing right behind Iko, facing away from him with the same disinterested expression even as the sand was only beginning to crumple.

"Somewhat violent... I suppose. But if you insist on sticking to simple sealing and not getting to the depths of your feelings, then I suppose i must reply in kind.

Derkholm held up his hand and the sand around Iko shot up into a square sort of soild prison. The top sealed itself off and suddenly hundreds of razor swords made of sand appeared on the outside, their blades thrusting through the prison to skewer everything inside.

"If your already living up to you full potential I've given you far too much credit... I'll be certain to send a nice card to the funeral service."

The blades rushed into the prison with resounding force; as the last blade entered, the entire construct was disassembled, a pile of soft, loose sand falling around him, which Iko quickly stepped out of.

The shadow between the sand itself... could not likely be so easily overcome, especially with Iko in a higher rank. Still, their spells crossed, for a moment... as when one fighter exchanges fists with another, their true feelings, or lack thereof, are apparent for perhaps a moment. In that moment, the sand DaCre would sense that Iko was holding back.

~Please... run...~ Iko thought, in that instant. ~For as long as I can maintain my sanity...~

Derkholm would have smiled... if such a thing was visible.

"Better. Intelligent enough to use the darkness inside the sand tomb. But you are still holding back, and while you think it's the problem I see it as the solution. We're more alike than you think you and I; I was once in your same exact position. But with time comes knowledge... here's a tecnique I picked up that I think you'll find quite interesting."

A sword-like spire of sand rushed towards Iko head on, while simultaneously two spires vertically rose a little away from both DaCre. These spires broke into pieces of sand which turned instantly into glass. Sunlight reflected from the glass in a very particular pattern, and the light that blasted out of it rivaled some of Shobatsu's feats; blotting out entirely the shadow's nearby.

"I like to call it a synthesized-light innate. Sand changes to glass extremely easily you see, and while it took quite a bit of wrok I've managed to crack the same wavelengths used unconsciously by DaCre with a light innate; though I'm sure your kitsune friend would still put me to shame in the area."

"You still don't understand... its horribly hard for me to hold back..." Iko mutterred, raising his arm towards the spires. From the bottom, each one of the glass spires began to fragment, as darkness erupted out of the below sand, breaking straight through the middle of the spires, where no light existed. In a similar manner, he destroyed the attacking spire, using the darkness within the spire's sand.

"The desert is one of the few places a dark wielder can fight when engulfed in light..." Iko explained, focusing the tendrils again, with more vindiction than before: quickly, darkness began to envelop around Derkholm, encasing him as with the first move, not yet crushing him...

Small balls of of sand shot up and became glass, exploding with light intense enough to banish the darkness around Derkholm before dropping silently back into the sand.

"Then go ahead DON'T hold back. I may just repay you with the same."

Sand began to whirl around Derkholm, and he began walking towards Iko. As he walked spires of loosely formed sand interspersed with glass shot up on either side and slightly ahead of him, becoming more violent with each explosion. The glass was enough to light the loosely formed spires out of casting shadows for their brief duration, and the spires were making a beeline towards Iko. While Derkholm was cerain Iko could still find a way around it, he still seemed intent on egging him into full force.

However, the balls never transformed into glass, as they were rended as Iko took hold of the darkness within them, which simply added to the strengthening tendrils, as it was before.

He began to crush Derkholm as he did before... but something was different. Derkholm would find himself unable to transform enough to escape: Iko created a dark 'bowl' under Derkholm, which would prevent him from connecting to the sand outside of the bowl. No light could reach that area, even if Derkholm could create glass; in addition, he was now not in contact with any sand, save the small semi-circle beneath his feet.

Iko continued off of this, beginning to encase the whole body in a sphere...

Derkholm's body exploded in a burst of light, his own self-sand already permanently de-shadowed by glass within that shined with an inner light. Despite the fact that the explosion was more than powerful enough to rend all of the shadows around him apart, it was only neccesary to do so on an area less than a grain of sand for him to escape and reform once more far to the left of Iko.

"If you insist on using such scant shadows that way I suppose I'll have to eliminate the option entirely for your true disposition to shine through."

The entire thing of sand below and in a large radius turned almost entirely into glass, shining so brightly that it would blind any DaCre with it's solid light and still keep on shining. The shadows in the area would be completely eliminated, even with the semi-sand attacks Derkholm used. This left Iko to respond physically, a much more stress releiving tactic. And with the glass-changing tecnique starting at the bottom of the sands and working it's way to the top, it wouldn't be physically possible for Iko to know what was happening before it was too late.

Iko shifted his left foot, noticing a difference in the give of the sand as Derkholm approached him directly. "Don't make light of me!" Iko yelled, turning and using his roar technique, which prevented Derkholm from using sand or manipulating it at all, which would leave him rather vulnerable. Mounting on all fours, he continued on with a prepared growl, which turned into a second roar, as Iko charged directly at Derkholm's body, going for a viscious direct attack that would definitively do damage: a slash down Derkholm's side, which would actually exist, and not transit to sand. It would be difficult to dodge, with Iko's superior speed and use of roar.

"Tch." Derkholm stumbled backwards at the roar, startled a bit by the unexpected manuever and unable to immunize himself by turning into feelingless sand in time.

Derkholm felt the slash as it sliced through some of the bandages and knocked him backwards a small distance. When the bandages were severed foreign symbols which looked like heiroglyphs shown in turquoise on them for a moment before the bandages disentegrated into little bits of data that lingered in the air, a few moving to touch down upon Iko's body. Below the bandages the blow cut into what was suprisingly furred flesh; a dark blue-purple and silky coat instead of what would seem the obvious rotting corpse. At least that explained why he wasn't very smelly for a mummy...

"Hmph... that would be the first time in over a century... our time that is. Most impressive. I'm finally starting to get a bit of insight into you."

The light from some of the glass shining changed a little as Derkholm recovered from the iniitial shock of the roar, and a healing style light came out onto both DaCre for a moment (the wave not being precise enough to target simply Derkholm; he wasn't that precise). But when the wound on Derkholm mended itself the bandages did not; apparently they weren't part of his actual form and couldn't be recovered so easily.

Iko quickly shook his body, letting the bandages fall off (even if he had to tear them with his claws) before allowing whatever ability they had to take effect.

Immediately, now behind Derkholm, he roared once more, knowing that he would be forced to fight on a wolf's terms if he kept this pattern... keeping this second roar at a longer duration than before, Iko lept again at Derkholm, becoming more lethal, this time moving to slash at the neck... if he missed, he would rend a huge part of his back.
